An foreign body inside rectum; intrauterine device

Intrauterine devices are generally preferred as they provide long-term contraception and are well-tolerated. Although intrauterine devices are an effective and safe contraceptive method, it can rarely be associated with significant complications such as uterine rupture and migration to the adjacent organs. Herein, we present the case of a 29 years old woman with a history of an intrauterine device inserted 10 years ago that was later complicated by the migration of the intrauterine device to the rectum.
