EĞİTİM FAKÜLTESİNE YENİ BAŞLAYAN ÖĞRENCİLERİN ÖĞRETMENLİK MESLEĞİNİ ALGILAYIŞLARI VE ÖĞRETMENLİK MESLEĞİNE İLİŞKİN TUTUMLARI

ÖZ Bu çalışma eğitim fakültesine yeni başlamış öğretmen aday adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine hangi perspektiften baktığını ve mesleğe ilişkin tutumlarını ortaya koymaya çalışan nitel bir araştırmadır. Katılımcıların mesleği algılayışları ve mesleğe ilişkin tutumları geleceğin öğretmen prototipini çıkarmaya yardım edecektir. Araştırmaya, Adıyaman Eğitim Fakültesi, İlköğretim Bölümünden kasıtlı örneklemle 7 kız, 9 erkek katılımcı seçilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış, açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmayla katılımcıların öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin görüşleri ortaya konulmuş ve sorun oluşturan noktalar tespit edilmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Öğretmenlik, Meslek Seçimi, Yönlendirme

PERCEPTION OF TEACHING CAREER BY EDUCATION FACULTY FRESHMEN AND THEIR ATTITUDES TOWARDS IT

ABSTRACT The present paper, which was carried out in qualitative method, aims at determining perception of teaching career by newly enrolled freshmen of education faculty and their attitudes towards the career. Their perception and attitudes will profile the teachers of the future to certain extend. 16 participants, 7 female and 9 male, were chosen via purposive sampling. A semi-structured interview form, made up of open-ended questions, was used as data collection instrument. Freshmen's perceptions of teaching career, factors directing them to choosing the career, their expectations were reported and the problems in the process were discussed.
