“Refah Kaybı Çerçevesinde İşsizlik”

Bireysel anlamda işsizliğin maliyetlerine değinirken, işsizliğin piyasa için yarattığı etkinsizliğe de yer vermek önem taşımaktadır. Çünkü işsizlik olgusuna yalnızca işgücünün katlandığı maliyet ve etkinsizlik olarak bakılamaz. Aynı zamanda işsizlik, efektif talebi azaltarak firmaların düşük karlılık düzeyinde çalışmalarına da yol açabilmektedir. İşgücü piyasasındaki etkinsizlik, temsili bir değişken olan işsizlikle ölçülebilmektedir. İşsizliğin yol açtığı piyasa etkinsizliğini, diğer anlamıyla toplumsal refah kaybını literatürde pek çok çalışma ölçme yoluna gitmiştir. Çalışmada da işgücü piyasasındaki etkinsizliğe betimsel olarak yer verilmiş ve bu çerçevede Türkiye’de işsizliğin yarattığı etkinsizlik yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır
