Bahçe Ürünlerde 1-Metilsiklopropen (1-MCP) Kullanımı

E tilen engelleyici olan 1-metilsiklopropen (1-MCP), meyve, sebze ve süs bitkilerinde olgunlaşma ve/veya yaşlanmayı etkileyebilmektedir. 1-MCP’nin bulunuşundan beri etki mekanizması, uygulanması ve etilenin etkilerinin engellenmesine yönelik çok sayıda çalışma yapılmış ve yapılmaktadır. 1-MCP kullanılmasında, çeşit, aktif konsantrasyon, sıcaklık, süre, gelişme aşaması, hasattan uygulamaya kadar geçen süre, uygulama şekli ve depolama koşulları gibi birçok faktör göz önünde bulundurulmalıdır. 1-MCP bazı ürünlerde olgunlaşma ve yaşlanmayı geciktirmiş ve etilen üretimini, solunumu, renk değişimini ve yumuşamayı azaltmış ve bazı kalite parametrelerindeki olumsuz gelişmeleri yavaşlatmıştır. 1-MCP ticari olarak uygulama alanı sınırlı olmasına rağmen, birçok ülkede çok sayıda bahçe ürününde kullanım için ruhsatlandırılmıştır
