Tükürük Bezi Kanalı Karsinomu: Nadir Görülen Bir Olgu Sunumu ve Literatür Taraması
Tükürük bezi kanalı karsinomu (TKK) malign epitelial tükürük bezi tümörlerinden olup sıklıkla parotis bezinde, nadir de olsa minör tükürük bezlerinde gözlenir. Tüm tükürük bezi neoplazmlarının %2’sini oluşturmaktadır. Primer minör TKK tanısında ultrasonografi (USG), bilgisayarlı tomografi (BT), manyetik rezonans görüntüleme (MRG) ve pozitron emisyon tomografisi (PET) sıklıkla kullanılan görüntüleme yöntemleridir, ancak hastalığın kesin tanısında histopatolojik inceleme altın standart olan kabul edilmektedir. Minör TKK olguları çoğunlukla palatinada, daha az sıklıkla dilde, dudakta, bukkal mukozada ve retromolar trigonda lokalizedir. Bu olgu sunumunda, 64 yaşında bir erkek hastada alt çene posterior bukkal mukozada saptanan TKK’nin klinik önemi radyolojik ve histopatolojik bulgular ışığında tartışılmaktadır.
Salivary Gland Ductus Carcinoma: A Rare Case Report and Review of Literature
Salivary duct carcinoma (SDC) is one of the malign epithelial salivary gland tumors. It is frequently observed in parotid gland and rarely in minor salivary glands. It constitutes 2% of all salivary gland neoplasms. Ultrasonography (USG), computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET) are frequently used imaging methods in the diagnosis of SDC originating from minor salivary glands. However histopathological examination is considered as the gold standard in the final diagnosis of the lesion. SDC of minor glands cases are mostly localized in the palate, to a lesser extent in the tongue, lips, buccal mucosa and retromolar trigon. In this case report, the clinical importance of SDC localized in posterior buccal mucosa of a 64-year old male patient is discussed in the light of radiological and histopathological findings.
