DOKUZ EYLÜL ÜNİVERSİTESİ MÜHENDİSLİK FAKÜLTESİBOR İÇEREN ATIK SULARIN PORTLAND ÇİMENTOSU HARCI ÜRETİMİNDE KULLANILMASI

Bor içeren atık suların beton veya portland çimentosu harcı üretiminde kullanılması, ekonomik, teknik ve çevresel açıdan önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, farklı bor içeriğine sahip atık sular ile şebeke suyu kullanılarak üretilen çimento harçlarının mekanik ve dayanıklılık özellikleri incelenmiştir. Portland çimentosu harç numuneleri 40×40×160 mm boyutlarında prizmatik ve 50 mm boyutlarında küp kalıplara dökülmüştür. Atık su içerisindeki bor miktarının, 28 günlük basınç dayanımı ve eğilmede çekme dayanımı, 300?C, 600?C ve 900?C sıcaklıkğa maruz bırakılan harçların dayanım kaybı ve donma çözülme dayanıklılığı üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bor içeren atık sular, Portland çimentosu harcının mekanik ve dayanıklılık özelliklerini geliştirmiştir. Sonuç olarak, bor içeren atık suların harç üretiminde kullanımı doğal çevrenin korunması ve teknik açıdan malzeme kalitesinin artırılması için uygun olacaktır

(THE USE OF BORON CONTAINING WASTEWATER FOR PRODUCING PORTLAND CEMENT MORTAR

The utilization of boron containing wastewater in production of concrete or Portland cement mortar provide economical, technical and environmental benefits. This paper presents a study of the mechanical and durability properties of Portland cement mortars mixed using tap water and wastewater having different boron concentrations. Portland cement mortar test specimens were cast in 40×40×160 mm prismatic moulds and 50 mm cube moulds. The effect of boron concentration on the following properties were studied; compressive and flexural strength at ages up to 28 days, compressive strength lost after being subjected to 300?C, 600?C and 900?C curing temperatures and freezing-thawing durability. Boron containing wastewater was improved the mechanical and durability properties of Portland cement mortar. Finally, utilization of boron containing wastewater in production of cement mortar could be suitable for protection of environment and increasing technical quality of construction materials
