AZ ALAŞIMLI ÇELİKLERDE KARBON MİKTARININ PLAZMA NİTRÜRASYONU DAVRANIŞINA ETKİSİ

Plazma nitrürasyonu ile çeşitli parametreler kullanılarak yüzeyi sertleştirilen, az alaşımlı 16MnCr5 ve 50CrV4 çeliklerinin yapısal özellikleri; mikroskobi teknikleri, X-ışını difraksiyonu ve mikrosertlik ölçümleri kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Kimyasal bileşimleri açısından aralarındaki en büyük fark içerdikleri karbon miktarı olan bu çeliklerin incelenmesiyle, karbon miktarının yüzey sertleştirme işlemi ile oluşan iç yapıya ve mekanik özelliklere etkilerinin araştırılması hedeflenmiştir

EFFECT OF CARBON CONTENT ON THE PLASMA NITRIDING BEHAVIOR OF LOW-ALLOY STEELS

Structural properties of plasma-nitrided 16MnCr5 and 50CrV4 low-alloy steels were investigated using microscopy techniques, X-ray diffraction and microhardness measurements. Carbon content is the most important differance between chemical compositions of these steels. This study aims to investigate the effecf of carbon content on the microstructural and mechanical properties of the case hardened materials
