Mikrodalga Enerjisinin Buğdayda Çimlenme, Erken Fide Büyümesi ve Mitotik Bölünme Üzerine Etkisi

Bu çalışmada, mikrodalga enerjisinin buğday  (Triticum aestivum L. var Tir  ve Bezostaja) tohumlarında çimlenme,  erken fide büyümesi ve  mitotoik bölünme üzerindeki etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. İki kışlık buğday çeşidine ait tohumlar mikrodalga fırında  30, 60 ve 90 saniye süre ile orta dereceli enerjiye  (460 W) maruz bırakılmıştır. Kontrol olarak mikrodalga uygulanmamış tohumlar kullanılmıştır. Kontrol ve mikrodalga uygulanmış tohumlar ortalama 25 oC sıcaklık ve 16 saat aydınlık/8 saat karanlık fotoperiyotta 1 hafta süreyle çimlenme ve fide büyümesi açısından gözlemlenmiştir. 2 günlük çimlenmiş tohumların kök uçları fikse edildikten  ve asetik orsein ile boyandıktan sonra mitotik bölünme fazları incelenmiştir. Mikrodalgaya maruz bırakılmış tohumların çimlenme yüzdeleri kontrol bitkilerine göre önemli oranda düşük bulunmuştur. Bu etki, sürenin  uzamasına bağlı olarak artmaktadır. Fidelerin  kök ve gövde uzunluğu ile kök ve gövde yaş ağırlıkları üzerinde mikrodalga enerjisinin negatif bir etkisi görülmediği gibi mitotik bölünme fazlarında ve kromozom yapısında  herhangi bir anormallik gözlenmemiştir.
