Primakov’un 2002’de yayınlanan “11 Eylül ve Irak Müdahelesi Sonrası Dünya” adlı çalışması, az çalışılan bir konuda son derece spesifik katkılar sunan ve literatürde önemli bir boşluğu dolduran eserdir. Kitap, yazarın diplomatik tecrübesine, siyasi kariyerine, deneyimlerine ve teorik analizlerine dayanmaktadır. Ağırlıklı olarak Rus arşivlerinden çıkarılan birincil kaynakların detaylı bir şekilde kullanılmasıyla oluşturulan çalışmanın, kendi literatürü içinde istisnai bir örnek olmaya aday olduğu söylenebilir. Kitabın Rusça belgelere dayanan yapısı, alana birçok özgün bilgi getirmektedir. Primakov’un kitabı inşaa ettiği geniş belge havuzu ve ikincil kaynakları kitabın eski bilgileri tekrarlayan bir yapıt olmasının önüne geçmiştir. Yazar literatürde önceden tartışılmış siyasi ve kültürel ilişkiler gibi konuların yanında, dönemin önemli bir dönüm noktasını oluşturan 11 Eylül sürecine ışık tutmuştur. Ayrıca küresel olarak uluslararası ilişkiler alanında literatüre büyük ölçüde katkı sağlayan ya da tamamen gözden kaçmış unsurları öne çıkarmıştır. Bu noktada, Rusya’nın ve Rusya’da önemli görevlerde bulunmuş bir siyasi liderin bu çalışmada Rus arşivlerini ve kaynaklarını kullanarak küresel düzene yönelik nesnel bir perpsektifle yaklaşması eserin değerini arttırmaktadır. Bu kapsamda eserde yer alan önemli fikirler, kavramlar, yazarın argümanları, örneklemeleri ve çalışmanın anlatı düzeni gibi hususlar analiz edilmektedir.

The book is based on the author's diplomatic experience, political career, experiences and theoretical analysis. It can be said that the study, which was created by using the primary sources extracted from the Russian archives in detail, is a candidate to be an exceptional example in its own literature. The structure of the book based on Russian documents brings a lot of original information to the field. The large document pool and secondary sources that Primakov built the book have prevented the book from being a work that repeats old information. The author shed light on the September 11 process, which constituted an important turning point of the period, as well as the issues previously discussed in the literature, such as political and cultural relations. In addition, he has highlighted elements that have been largely or completely overlooked in the literature in the field of international relations globally. At this point, the approach of Russia and a political leader who has held important positions in Russia with an objective perspective towards the global order by using Russian archives and resources in this study increases the value of the work. In this context, issues such as important ideas, concepts, author's arguments, examples and narrative order of the work are analyzed.
