İMÂMİYE'NİN ON İKİNCİ İMÂMIN GAYBETİ İNANCI ÜZERİNE BİR RİSALE

Yazar bu makalede önemli bir Şii Kelamcısı olan Şerif-el-Mürteza'nın onikinci imamın gaybeti üzerine olan bir risalesini İngilizceye çevirmiştir. Yazara göre, İmâmiyye Şia'sında Gizlenen Mehdi düşüncesinin doktrinel gelişimi hakkındaki birincil kaynaklar, hala, tarihçiler tarafından küçümsenmektedir. Ona göre bu kaynaklar, Gizlenen Mehdi düşüncesinin Şiî doktrinde bir dogma haline gelme sürecinin anlaşılmasında çok ciddi katkılar verecektir. Yazar ilk dönem İmâmî eserlerin, Şia düşüncesinde yer alan Mehdi düşüncesinin "Gizlenen Mehdi"den "Vadedilen Mehdiye" dönüş süreçlerinin anlaşılması konusunda çok kıymetli olduklarını, bu nedenle de onların derinlemesine araştırılmaları gerektiği ifade etmektedir.

A Treatise on the Occultation of the Twelfth Imamite Imâm

In this article, the author translated into English treatise on the Occultation of the Twelfth Imamite Imam, written by great Shiite scholar al-Sharif al-Murtadâ. Accordign to author the primary sources in the study of the doctrinal evolution of the idea of the Hidden Mahdi in Imâmî Shiism remain those works which historians have tended to regard with particular contempt. The author states that there is little doubt that these are the very sources which can make an essential contribution to an understanding of the period in which the idea of the Hidden Mahdi became crystallized in the Imamite dogma. The Imimite writings on this subject are invaluable keys to an understanding of the forces which brought about the transformation of the Imamite Hidden Imam to become the Promised Mahdi.
