Sağlık Alanında Kullanılan Kantitatif Yöntem, Stereoloji

Stereoloji kantitatif çalışmalarda en çok tercih edilen, kullanıldığında kabul oranı yüksek olan bir yöntemdir.Stereoloji, gerçekte üç boyutlu olan herhangi bir yapının iki boyutlu görüntülerinden yola çıkarak, onların üç boyutluözellikleri ile ilgili yorumlar yapmayı sağlayan, birçok yöntemi (optik ve fiziksel disektör, optik ve fiziksel parçalama,nucleator ve cavalieri prensibi vb.) içeren bilim dalıdır. Sağlık alanında, bir doku ya da görüntüsü elde edilebiliyorsa,bunların üzerinde stereolojik çalışmalar yapmak mümkündür.Ancak stereolojik yöntemlerin kullanırken özellikle tarafsızlık, etkinlik, sistematik rastgele örnekleme ve ön çalışmagibi konulara uyulması gerekmektedir. Bu yöntemler ile kurallarına uyularak yapılan çalışmalarda ilgilenilen yapınınsayı, hacim, alan ve uzunluk gibi verileri elde edilebilir. Elde edilen sonuçlar gerçek değere en yakın değerlerdir.Günümüzde bu yöntemin uygulanması birçok avantajı da beraberinde getirmektedir. Bu yöntem tarafsız, etkili,güvenilir, düşük maliyetli (az çalışan, az örnek ya da numune ve kısa sürede), tekrarlanabilir ve tekrarlandıkça gerçekdeğere daha da yaklaşan sonuçlar elde etmemizi sağlar. Bu nedenle, stereolojik çalışmalar sonucunda elde edilenverilerden yola çıkılarak yapılan yorumlar doğru, güvenilir ve kabul edilebilirdir.

Quantitative Method Used in Health Field, Stereology

Stereology is a method with the highest acceptance rate when used in quantitative studies. Stereology is a branch of science that includes many methods (optical and physical disector, optical and physical fractionator, nucleator and cavalieri principle etc.), which enable them to make interpretations about their three-dimensional properties, based on two-dimensional images of any three-dimensional structure. In the area of health, if a tissue or image can be obtained, it is possible to perform stereological studies on them. However, when using stereological methods, issues such as objectivity, effectiveness, systematic random sampling and preparatory work must be followed. In these studies, data such as number, volume, area and length of the structure can be obtained. The results obtained are the closest to the real value. Today, the application of this method brings many advantages. This method allows us to achieve results in an unbiased, effective, trusty, low-cost (few people, small samples, or images and short time), repeatable and that are closer to the real value as it is repeated. Therefore, based on the data obtained as a result of stereological studies, the comments are true, reliable and acceptable.
