Lepralı hastaların yaşam kalitesinin değerlendirilmesi

Giriş: Bu çalışma İzmir'de, lepralı hastaların yaşam kalitelerinin ve buna etki eden sosyo-demografik özelliklerin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan lepra hastalarının SF-36 fiziksel işlevsellik puan ortalaması (23.4±6.9) yüksek, emosyonel rol güçlüğü (1.4±1.4) puanlarının ise düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yaş, medeni durum, hasar durumu, hasar bölgesi ve eğitim durumu gibi özelliklerin Lepralı hastaların yaşam kalitesini etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Bu çalışma Lepralı hastaların emosyonel yönden desteğe ihtiyaçları olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Lepra hastalarının yaşam kalitesini artırmak için hemşirelerin bu hastaları emosyonel yönden desteklemeleri önerilebilir.

Quality of life in patients with Leprosy

Objective: Determine to quality of life leather and genitals diseases unit of registered leprosy patients residing in the province of Izmir and affecting the socio-demographic characteristics. Method: Between January 2014 and January 2013 as a descriptive research was conducted with 59 patients with leprosy that registered in The Skin and Genital Diseases Dispensary in Izmir. Data was collected by questionnaire and SF-36 quality of life questionnaires and was analyzed through. The SPSS 21.0 software package. The frequency and distribution on data are given. Average, Mann-Whitney U test andKruskall Walls was used for the evaluation of the data. Results: The mean SF-36 physical functioning score (23.4 ± 6.9) was higher in the leprosy patients participating in the study, while the emotional role strength was lower (1.4 ± 1.4). It was determined that characteristics such as age, marital status, damage status, damage area and educational status affect the quality of life in patients with leprosy. Conclusion: This study has shown that Lebron patients need support from emotional aspects. In order to increase the quality of life of Lepra patients, nurses may be recommended to support these patients in the emotional direction.
