Prosthetic rehabilitation of a case with papillon-lefevre disease

Papillon-Lefevre sendromu çok düşük yaygınlık gösteren, nadir görülen otozomal resesif bir hastalıktır. Karakteristik semptomları; yaygın palmar ve plantar hiperkeratoz, geçici ve kalıcı dişlerin erken kaybına neden olan hızlı ilerleyen ve dentisyonu da etkileyen periodontal rahatsızlıktır. Papillon-Lefevre Sendromunda çocukluk çağında fonksiyonel, estetik ve psikolojik sorunlar ortaya çıkabilir. Bu sorunların ortadan kaldırması için 2,5-3 yaşından sonra yapılan tam protezler çözüm oluşturabilmektedir. Bu raporda Papillion-Lefevre sendromlu 4 yaşında bir kız çocuğunun protetik rehabilitasyonu sunulmaktadır. Rutin periodontal ölçümleri ve radyografik değerlendirmeleri kapsayan klinik incelemelerde şiddetli enflamasyon, ileri derecede kemik kaybı ve ağız kokusu tespit edilmiştir. Tedavi sürecinde süt 2.molar dişler haricinde dişlerin çekimi gerçekleştirildi. Çocuğun çiğneme ve fonksiyonel kabiliyetinin idamesi için planlanan parsiyel protezlerin yapımında rutin aşamalar izlendi. Tam protezler süt 2. Molar dişlerin çekilmesinden 3 ay sonra hazırlandı. Olağan takip programları izlenerek gerekli düzenlemeler yapıldı. Hasta halen kontrol altındadır
