Palatinal Yerleşimli Oral Piyojenik Granüloma: Olgu Sunumu

Piyojenik granüloma (PG); travmatik yaralanma, kronik ve düşük seviyeli lokal irritasyon veya hormonal faktörlere bağlı olarak gelişebilen, deri ve müköz membranın benign bir yumuşak doku tümörüdür.Ağız içerisinde dişeti, dudak, dil, palatinal ve bukkal mukozada görülebilen PG‘ ye en sık olarak dişetinde rastlanmaktadır. Bu vaka raporunda; 56 yaşında erkek hastada sol üst çene posterior bölgede palatinal mukozaya sert bir gıda maddesinin batması ve takibinde hasta tarafından bölgenin travmatize edilmesi sonucu oluşan piyojenik granuloma vakası ve cerrahi tedavisinin sunulması amaçlanmıştır. Postoperatif 6. ay kontrolü yapılan hastada herhangi bir nüks veya komplikasyon ile karşılaşılmamıştır.

Oral Pyogenıc Granuloma Located Palatally : A Case Report

Pyogenic granuloma is a benign soft tissue tumor of the mucous membrane and skin occurring in response to a variety of stimuli such as traumatic injury, local irritation or hormonal factors. It can occur on the lips, tongue, palatal and buccal mucosa in the oral cavity; but commonly found in gingiva. In this case report, we presented 56-year-old male patient with oral lesion that arise as a result of sinking of a hard foodstuff to the palatal mucosa and irritated the same region. Surgical excision is the choice of treatment. During the control of postoperative 6 th month, there was no recurrence or complication.
