ERZURUM VE ÇEVRESİNDEN TME RAHATSIZLIĞI NEDENİYLE KLİNİĞİMİZE BAŞVURAN HASTALARIN RETROSPEKTİF İNCELENMESİ

Amaç: Bu incelemenin amacı Erzurum ve çevresinden temporomandibular eklem disfonksiyonu şikâyeti ile kliniğimize başvuran hastaları yaş, cinsiyet, semptom ve disfonksiyonun türü açısından değerlendirmektir.Metot: Mevcut incelemeye Şubat 2007-Eylül 2008 tarihleri arasında Atatürk Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Ağız, Diş ve Çene Hastalıkları Cerrahisi Anabilim Dalına temporomandibular eklem disfonksiyon (TMED) şikayeti ile başvuran ve klinik muayenesinde bu disfonksiyonu doğrulanan hastalar dahil edildi.Bulgular: Bizim sonuçlarımıza göre TMED şikayeti ile kliniğimize başvuran hastaların büyük çoğunluğu 16-37 yaş arasındaki bireylerden oluşmaktaydı ve kadındı. En belirgin semptom ağrıydı. Bunu sırasıyla mandibular fonksiyonlardaki değişiklikler ve eklem sesleri takip etti. Hastaların büyük çoğunluğu tek başına veya disk deplasmanlarının eşlik ettiği çiğneme kas problemleri nedeniyle kliniğimize müracaat etmişlerdi.Sonuç: Bizim bölgemizdeki TMED büyük çoğunluğu genç ve yetişkin kadınlarda ortaya çıkan çiğneme kas problemleri (disk deplasmanın eşlik ettiği veya etmediği) olarak gözükmektedir. 

RETROSPECTIVE INVESTIGATION OF PATIENTS WITH TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT DYSFUNCTION SYNDROME SELECTED FROM ERZURUM AND ITS AROUND CITY

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate, according to your old, sex, symptom and type of dysfunction, the patients who have suffered temporomandibular joint dysfunction syndrome and were admitted Erzurum and its around city.Method: Patients who were admitted to Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Dentistry Faculty of Ataturk University with temporomandibular joint dysfunction complaint and had the diagnosis of this disease in same department between February 2007 and September 2008 were included in our study.Results: The most of patients who have suffered temporomandibular joint dysfunction syndrome were female with between 16 and 32 years of age. The primary symptom was pain and the following symptoms were varieties of mandibular function and a sound of joint in all patients, respectively. Addition to, the most of patients of our study had admitted in our clinic because of chewing muscular problems with and without disc displacement. Conclusion: Our findings show that temporomandibular joint dysfunction syndrome is appeared in young and adult female who have chewing muscular problems (with and without disc displacement).
