The treatment of rhinophyma with excision and full-thickness skin graft

Rhinophyma is a rarely seen benign, chronic disease of nasal skin, characterized by nodulargrowing of sebaceous glands that affect the distal half of the nose and cause several functional andaesthetic problems. This uncommon disease is especially seen in Caucasian males between theages of 45-60 and the incidence is 12 times higher in men than in women. There are differentmethods for treatment of rhinophyma, and surgical treatment is accepted as gold standard. In thisstudy, we reported a case with rhinophyma that was followed and surgically treated with excisionand full-thickness skin graft in Cumhuriyet Universty School of Medicine Hospital.
