Kikuchi-Fujimoto hastalığı: Olgu sunumu

Klinik ve epidemiolojik bilgiler ışığında genellikle bir ön tanıya ulaşmak mümkün olsa da, servikal lenfadenit birçok farklı etkene bağlı gelişebileceğinden, günümüzde dahi etyolojisine yönelik araştırmalar sorun oluşturabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada seyrek görülmesi, tanı yanlışlığına yol açabilmesi ve Türkiye'de az bilinen bir hastalık olması nedeniyle bir Kikuchi-Fujimoto hastalığı olgusu sunulmaktadır. Servikal lenfadenopati ile kliniğimize başvuran ve lenf ganglionunun eksizyonel biopsisi sonrası yapılan patolojik incelemesinde hastaya "Histiositik nekrotizan lenfadenit", Kikuchi-Fujimoto hastalığı tanısı konmuştur. Hasta 3. ayın sonunda hastalıksız olarak kontrollerine devam etmektedir.

Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease: Case report

Although clinical and epidemiologic features of an enlarged lymph node can often lead to a presumptive diagnosis, it is still a diagnostic challenge for clinicians to determine the etiology In this study, we report a case of Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease due to its rarity in Turkey, We believe, most physicians have limited experiences in its diagnosis. Pathologic examination of the enlarged lymph node biopsy specimen excised from the cervical region was reported as "Histiocytic necrotizing lympadenitis" or Kikuchi-fujimoto disease. Patient remains well after 3 months of the biopsy.
