THE SYNTHESES OF SOME NOVEL 2-METHYL-2-SUBSTITUTED- PHENYLAZO-1, 3-INDANDIONES
The preparation of a series of 2-Methyl-2-substituted phenylazo-l, 3- indandiones by coupling of 2-Methyl-l, 3-indandione with substituted anilines in reported. The effects of various substituents on the absorption spactra are discused.
