Rekurren Influenza Infections in an Asthmatic Child

Influenza is one of the most common viral infections. This infection called as seasonal influenza is mostly seen in children under 2 years of age, adults older than 65 years, and patients who have underlying chronic diseases such as asthma. In these risky groups, it leads to increased attack rates, complications and death rates. The most important source of the spread of influenza infection in the commun- mity is children and the most important prophylactic treat- ment is vaccination. In this paper, 15-year-old boy with chronic asthma who had 3 times experienced influenza infection, though he had received seasonal vaccination
