Cerrahi hasta eğitiminde kullanılan güncel yöntemler: Hastalık merkezli değil, hasta merkezli eğitim

Cerrahi, hastada önemli fiziksel ve psikolojik stres yaratması nedeniyle korku, endişe, anksiyete ve depresyona neden olmaktadır. Hasta cerrahi girişimi kabul ettiği anda bilinmeyen korkusu yaşamaya başlar. Ameliyat öncesi, sırası ve sonrasında hasta yoğun bir anksiyeteye sahiptir. Bu durum hastanın kendisini savunmasız hissetmesine neden olur. Hasta eğitimi, bakım kalitesini artırmak ve hastayı rahatlatmak için anahtar bir rol oynamakta ve profesyonel hemşirelik rollerinden birini oluşturmaktadır. Bu makalede literatüre katkı sağlamak amacıyla, cerrahi hasta eğitiminde kullanılan güncel yöntemler ve kullanılan eğitim yöntemlerinin önemine dikkat çekilmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Current methods used in surgery patient education: not disease centered, patient centered education

Surgery, due to its significant physical and psychological stress creates fear and causes anxiety and depression in patients. The patient starts to experience fear of the unknown by the time he accepts to undergo a surgical procedure. Patient has an intense anxiety before, during and after the surgery. This causes patients to feel themselves vulnerable. Patient education, which is one of the professional nursing roles, plays a key role to improve the quality of care and relieve the patient. This article intends to draw attention to the importance of the current methods used in the surgical patient education and the training methods, in order to make a contribution to the literature.
