Muğla Müzesi’nden İki Yeni Mezar Yazıtı ve Konya Koyunoğlu Müzesi’nden Bir Mezar Yazıtı Hakkında Düzeltme

Makalede Muğla Müzesi’nde bulunan iki adet mezar steli üzerinde yer alan yazıtlar ele alınmaktadır. Her iki stelin de buluntu yerleri ve menşei bilinmemektedir. Yazıtlardan ilki, Zosime tarafından oğlu Epainetos için dikilen mezar yazıtıdır. Diğeri ise Hekaton ve Aphphion tarafından oğulları Artemon için, Trebius Antoninus isimli şahsın vermiş olduğu gömü yapma izni uyarınca dikilmiştir. Her iki yazıt Roma İmparatorluk Dönemi’ne tarihlendirilmiştir ve olasılıkla Stratonikeia veya çevresinden getirilmişlerdir. Makale kapsamında ayrıca Konya Koyunoğlu Müzesi’nde bulunan ve daha önce yayımlanmış bir mezar yazıtı hakkındaki düzeltme metni de yer almaktadır. Manes ve Petronius tarafından babaları Gaius ve anneleri Douda için dikilmiş bu mezar yazıtı Kütahya ilinin Çavdarhisar ilçesinde (Aizanoi) bulunmuş bir mezar steli üzerinde bulunmaktadır.

Two New Funerary Inscriptions from Muğla Museum and Corrigendum of a Funerary Inscription from Konya Koyunoğlu Museum

This paper presents two funerary inscriptions, carved on stelae, from Muğla Museum. The findspots and origins of both stelae are unknown. The first inscription is the epitaph of Epainetos erected by his mother Zosime. The latter is the epitaph of Artemon erected by his father Hekaton and his mother Aphphion, in accordance with the permission for the burial granted by Trebius Antoninus. Both inscriptions are dated to Roman Imperial Period and possibly they were brought from Stratonikeia or vicinity. This paper also presents corrigendum to a published funerary inscription from Konya Koyunoğlu Museum. This inscription, the epitaph of Gaius and his wife Douda erected by their sons Manes and Petronius, is carved on a funerary stele found in Çavdarhisar district (Aizanoi) of Kütahya province.
