HAKKINDAKİ TUTUM VE DAVRANIŞLARI Behaviours and Attitudes of Canteen Workers Related to Food Safety

Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the attitudes and behaviors of canteen personnel in Pendik Istanbul. Method: We applied a questionnaire which included questions about sociodemographic features and attitudes toward food safety face to face to all canteen workers. Results: 86 workers were included in the study. Mean age was 40,52 ±8.23 years. The workers paid mainly attention towards food package, selling condition of foods and expiring date of products. The least attention was paid to promotion articles given with food. Conclusion: An educational programme of food safety with regular intervals could be effective.
