ENDOMETRİAL POLİP VE TAM KAN SAYIMI PARAMETRELERİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ Evaluation of the Relationship Between Endometrial Polyp and Complete Blood Count Parameters
To evaluate the relationship between endometrial polyp and parameters of complete blood count,neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet/lymphocyte ratio (PLR).Materials and Methods: We reviewed medical files and pathological reports of patients who underwenthysteroscopy (H/S) procedure between January 2014 and June 2015 in Dumlupınar University Kütahya EvliyaCelebi Training and Research Hospital. Totally 96 patients were included in the study, and based on H/Sexamination, the cases were classified into two groups as those who did not have any endometrial pathology(control group, n=45) and those who had endometrial polyp (polyp group, n=51). The groups were comparedin terms of complete blood count parameters, NLR and PLR. Additionally, the polyp group was further dividedinto two subgroups according to number of polyps, and the subgroups were compared with each other. Results: Mean platelet volume (MPV) was 8.6±0.98 fL and 8.31±0.89 fL in the control and polyp groups, respectively, and there was no statistically significant difference between the groups (p=0.13). Mean PLR valuewas 138.98±60.51 in control group, and 146.89±61.33 in polyp group (p=0.52). Mean NLR value was 2.45±1.45in control group, and 2.79±2.25 in polyp group (p=0.81). There was no statistically significant differencebetween the groups regarding complete blood count parameters, PLR and NLR values. However, according theresults of subgroup analysis, MPV was significantly higher in the group with two or more polyps compared tothe group with one polyp (p=0,035).Conclusion: In conclusion, it was determined that there was no significant relationship of endometrial polypwith complete blood count parameters, including NLR and PLR.
