Modelling of a flat plate solar collector system using response surface methodology

In this study, performance analysis of flat plate solar collector has been carried out analytically. A comprehensive mathematical modelling of thermal performance is modelled using Response Surface Methodology and optimal geometrical and thermodynamic parameters are predicted pertaining to optimum performance of the system. In this study a model was developed for evaluating and predicting the efficiency, outlet temperature and performance of a flat plate solar collector considering the hour angle, day and input temperature as input parameters.
