Mobil Telefon Yoksunluğu Korkusu (Nomofobi) Yayılımı: Türkiye’den Üniversite Öğrencileri ve Kamu Çalışanları Örneklemi

Öz Akıllı telefonların hayatımıza girmesiyle birlikte görülmeye başlanan akıllı telefon bağımlılığı günlük yaşamın her yerinde göze batar hale gelmiştir. Etkisi gittikçe arttığı fark edilen bu durumun altında yatan sebeplerden birisi de günlük hayatta çok alışılmış olan akıllı telefondan mahrum kalma (haberleşememe ve çevrimiçi olamama) korkusu diye tanımlanan Nomofobi (No Mobile Phone Phobia, Nomophobia) olgusudur. Bu çalışmada kamu ulaştırma sektörü çalışanları (N=202) ve üniversite öğrencilerinden (N=265) oluşan iki farklı örneklem kullanılarak, Türkiye’de nomofobinin yaygınlığı ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır. Üniversite öğrencilerinin %54’inin, ulaştırma sektörü çalışanlarının %47’sinin nomofobik olduğu, nomofobinin kadınlarda daha yüksek olduğu, yaş ile nomofobi arasında ters yönlü ve anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu, günlük akıllı telefon kullanma süresi ile nomofobi arasında pozitif ve anlamlı bir ilişki bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir.
