La Flotte De Guerre Ottomane Au Milieu Du XVIIIᵉ Siecle

Öz En 1736 une guerre eclate opposant l'Empire ottoman a la Russie qui obtient, l'annee suivante, l'alliance de l'Autriche. Celle-ci presse Venise d'intervenir a ses cotes mais celle-ci refuse et signe, en 1738, un pacte de neutralite avec la Sublime Porte. C'est vraisemblablement a l'occasion de cette menace de guerre que l'ambassade de France a Istanbul cherche a se procurer des informations precises sur la marine de guerre ottomane et les fait parvenir a son ministre.
