KEMALPAŞAZÂDE (İBN KEMAL), Tevârih-i Âl-i Osman: III. Defter, hazırlayan: Abdullah Satun, Çamlıca Basım Yayın: 171, 1. bs., İstanbul 2014. [Kitap Tanıtımı]

Öz Üç Osmanlı padişahı (Bâyezid II, Yavuz, Kanunî) devrine denk gelen askerî-siyasî bir hayatı bulunan İbn Kemâl, tarihçiler arasında daha çok Tevârîh-i Âl-i Osmân adlı on ciltlik eseriyle tanınır. Osmanlı tarihi alanında klasik bir eser (kronik) olan Tevârîh-i Âl-i Osmân’ın dağınık bir biçimde altı cildi Türk Tarih Kurumu tarafından basılmıştır. Kurum, eserin ilk cildini ayrıca tıpkıbasım olarak da yayımlamıştır. Bu cildin uzun yıllardır mevcudu tükenmiş bulunmaktadır. Çamlıca Basım Yayın tarafından hazırlatılan III. Defter, Tevârih-i Âl-i Osman’ın bugüne kadar Türk Tarih Kurumu tarafından hazırlatılmamış ciltlerinden biridir. TTK, eserin neşrine VII. Defter’in tıpkıbasımıyla1 başlamış (1954), peşinden aynı cildin tenkitli transkripsiyonunu2 basmış (1957), daha sonra ise sırasıyla I. Defter (1970), II. Defter (1983)3 , X. Defter (1996)4 , VIII. Defter (1997)5 ve IV. Defter’i (2000)6 yayımlamıştır. V. Defter’e ait nüshalar hiçbir kütüphanede yoktur (kayıptır) ve bu sebeple basılmayan bu defterle birlikte TTK, eserin III., VI. ve IX. Defterlerini bugüne kadar hiç yayımlamamış bulunmaktadır. Ne var ki Tevârih-i Âl-i Osman’ın IX. Defter’i de Ahmet Uğur tarafından hazırlanmış ve Berlin’de basılmıştır: The Reign of Sultan Selim I in the Lights of Selim-nâme Literature (1985). Bu durumda eserin III. ve IX. Defterleri TTK dışındaki yayınevlerince basılmış; VI. Defter’i ise bugüne kadar hiçbir yayınevi tarafından basılmamış bulunmaktadır. V. Defter’i ise -tekrarlayalım ki- kayıptır.
