M. Civil JNES 23 (1964) te 50 satırı aşkın "Ludingirra'run annesine haberi" olarak isimlendirilebilecek değişik bir Sumer kompozisyonunu yayınladı. Hemen tam olan metin A, B, C, ve D olarak gösterilen dört nüshaya dayanmaktadır. M. Civil'in metin üzerindeki bu çalışması, en iyi Sumerologları dahi tatmin edecek nitelikte olup fevkalâde bir makale, derinliğine inilmiş, açıklayıcı ve güvenilir bir çalışmadır. Fakat şu muhakkak ki, birçok Sumer edebi kompozisyonlarında kelimelerin, kelime guruplarının, satırların ve bölümlerin küçümsenmeyecek bir kısmı değişik ve belirgin değildir. 1968 yılında J. Nougayrol Ug (aritica) V de, Ugarit kazılarında bulunmuş büyük bir tablet üzerinde (R. S. 25, 421) bu kompozisyonun normal ve fonetik Sumerce ile yazılmış, Akatça ve Hititçeye çevrilmiş tam metnini yayınlamıştır. M. Civil'in henüz baskıda olan yazısını, KUB 4, No. 2 (E olarak gösterilmiştir) ve KUB 4, No. 97 (F olarak gösterilmiştir) kullanmak suretiyle J. Nougayrol'un çok dikkatli bir şekilde yapmış olduğu çalışma, bu metnin anlaşılması için pek çok katkıda bulunmuştur.

The excavations at Acemhöyük, started in 1962 under the auspices of the Turkish Historical Society, Ankara University and the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums, have been continuing annually. The results of the campaigns of 1962 - 1965 have appeared. More recent exploration has focused on the monumental buildings at the site; some work also took place in other parts of the mound and in the lower city. We now have gained a basic understanding of Acemhöyüks' status and importance in the context of Anatolian archaeology. A general volume, now in preparation, will present the finds from the palaces as well as those from other buildings on the mound or in the lower city; objects of metal, ivories, terracottas, stone vases, and notably the rich collection of bullae with cylinder and stamp seal impressions will be published in this volume. The present article selects two samples from the wealth of material: an ivory box and stone mould for a lead figürine.
