A Case Report Of Isolated Pleural Effussıon Due To Ovarıan Hyperstımulatıon Syndrome

Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS) is an excessive response and sensivity to the drugs given for the stimulation of ovaries which can appear as a complication of the use of assisted reproductive techniques in a treatment of infertile patients. There are different clinical stages of OHSS. As it can be in the advanced stage where it may threaten life, it can also be seen in a low-profile clinical picture in which it shows mild symptoms and patients can be followed up remotely. It is important for health professionals to be knowledgeable in the diagnosis and treatment of OHSS which will be observed more frequently with the use of assisted reproductive techniques increasing day by day. By presenting a case in which a patient applied to our Emergency Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic with dsypnea, we have aimed to express that in patients who have ovarian induction in their case story, pleural effusion may occur due to OHSS and this situation is important in the differentiation of pulmonary embolism.
