Change of Chlorophyll Quantity in Some Landscaping Plants
A pigment is giving for chlorophyll that it makes green color to the plants that provide the photosynthesis that the oxygen and nutrients needed for the life of other creatures are produced. Recent works have represented that the quantity of chlorophyll in landscaping plants changes with regard to various factors. The peak of these factors is a kind of plant and situation of breeding. Aim of this work is to evaluate the change of chlorophyll quantity in the species of some landscaping plant in the city centre of Sivas that are used widely in the planning and management of landscape project. The study area is Sivas that is coordinated the zone where the climate is the main of terrestrial climate and the average annual rainfall is nearly 429mm in Turkey. In the scope of the work, chlorophyll assessments were used in 5 species of plants of the total of 21 types of plants which are made the measurements in landscape works in the center of city. The results of work assessed with the help of Duncan test, and variance analysis, thus, an average which is highest and lowest chlorophyll quantities and the species of standard divisions were ascertained. It was found to be a significant difference in the 99,9% confidence level during the plants types, as the conclusions of the variance analysis. According to the results of Duncan test in 11 homogeneous groups that is accumulated the types of plants in work which is the levels of the chlorophyll. According to the results of work, the highest quantity of chlorophyll in Elaeagnus angustifolia which is 129,04 cci, and the highest quantity of it in Platanus orientalis which is 11,48 cci was founded.
