Factors That Affect Enterprise Resource Planning Implementation Performance

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a planning system that provides the integration of departments in a firm. The purpose of this study is to determine factors affecting ERP implementation performance. In order to achieve this purpose, a survey was conducted on the companies that have been successful in ERP implementation by sending out a questionnaire. Then, the company characteristics, their ERP program features, their ERP implementation performance and factors that affect ERP implementation performance were analyzed. After literature search, we determined 16 ERP performance factors. We formed four ERP performance groups by using these factors. ERP performance factors are “workers”, “work process and substructure”, “features of ERP program”, and “management”. We analyzed these the impact of factors on ERP performance. The results of the survey have shown that the features of ERP program have a stronger impact on ERP performance than other factors.
