Generation of Bifurcation Diagrams for Ferroresonance Characterization Using Parallel Computing

Ferroresonance is a complex phenomenon thatinvolves the association of nonlinear magnetizing inductances andcapacitances. This nonlinear phenomenon can be initiated in manydifferent ways, which makes its characterization very difficult. Some recent works have shown how bifurcation diagrams can beadvantageously used for predicting the phenomenon at itsdifferent stages and finding safety zones for parameter selection. The present work expands the scope of some tools originallydeveloped for assessing ferroresonance behavior by means of 3Dbifurcation diagrams. The main goal of this work is to propose theapplication of parallel computing to speed up the generation ofbifurcation diagrams.
