A new magnetic non-destructive test system has been investigated to determine surface and under surface cracks in the lamination type of ferromagnetic materials. The investigated magnetic non-destructive test system consists of the 3D scanner mechanic and its electronic control unit. The sensor holder of the scanner system was capable to move on to the x, y, z coordinates during the experimental operation by means of electronics unit. In this paper the construction of the investigated magnetic non-destructive system, its operation principles and experimental results will be discussed
