THE ROLE OF NURSE IN A COMPLICATION OF CENTRAL VENOUS CATHETERIZATION: CASE REPORT

Central venous catheterization has been increasing very rapidly in recent years. Pleural effusion due to central venous catheterization is a rare and serious complication. We present a rare complication pertinent to central venous catheter in a 64-year-old female patient in whom pleural effusion due to central venous catheterization. all drug applications parenteral nutrition that giving by central venous catheterization were stopped. Thoracentesis was performed to the patient and malpositioned catheter was removed in a controlled manner.
