Jurinea Cass. cinsi Türkiye Florasında 23 taksonla temsil edilmektedir. Bu çalışma Jurinea mesopotamica Hand.-Mazz. Asteraceae türünün taksonomisini ve Türkiye’deki varlığını içermektedir. Tür, Türkiye Bitkileri Kırmızı Kitabı’nda Yetersiz Veri DD kategorisinde yer almaktadır. Çalışmada türün betimi, lokalitesi, yayılış haritası ve fotoğrafları verilmiştir. Türün yeni tehlike kategorisi Kritik Tehlikede CR olarak önerilmiştir

Jurinea Cass. is represented with 23 taxa in the flora of Turkey. This study presents the contributions to the taxonomy and presence of Jurinea mesopotamica Hand.Mazz. Asteraceae in Turkey. This species was previously placed in the Data Deficient DD category in the Red Data Book of Turkish Plants. In this study, description, localities, distribution map and images of the species were given. Threatened categorie of the species was proposed as Critically Endangered CR
