Narsisistik Kişilik Bozukluğunun, Adler’in Aşağılık ve Üstünlük Kompleksleri Açısından Analizi: Bir Olgu Çalışması
Bu makalenin amacı Narsisistik Kişilik Bozukluğu (NKB) özellikleri taşıdığı düşünülen M. T. kısa adlı vakayı, Adler'in Bireysel Psikoloji Kuramı çerçevesinde kavramsallaştırmak ve yürütülen tedavi sürecini Adler'in terapi yaklaşımı çerçevesinde incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda öncelikle hem psikanalitik hem de bilişsel ekollerden gelen çeşitli kuramcıların narsisizmi nasıl kavramsallaştırdıkları incelenmiş ardından narsisistik özellikleri olan söz konusu vaka sunulmuştur. Bu vaka, hem bilişsel hem de analitik kavramsallaştırmaları kapsayan Adler'in Bireysel Psikoloji Kuramı çerçevesinde formülize edilmiştir. Bu aşamada Adler'in kuramında birçok kez vurguladığı aşağılık kompleksi, üstünlük kompleksi, sosyal ilgi ve doğum sırası kavramları açıklanmış ve her kavram sunulan vaka ile ilişkilendirilmiştir. Ardından Adler'in terapi fazları doğrultusunda yürütülen terapi süreci ele alınmıştır. Makalenin en sonunda ise terapi sürecinin erken sonlanmasında etkili olduğu düşünülen danışana ve terapiste ait etmenlere değinilmiş ve alanda çalışan terapistlere bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur
An Analysis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder in the Light of Adler's Inferiority and Superiority Complexes: A Case Study
The aim of the present article was to conceptualize a patient with characteristics of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) in the light of Adlerian Individual Theory. For this aim, firstly, both the analytical and the cognitive approaches regarding to narcissism were described in detail, and the case of Mr. M. was presented. Then, the case was conceptualized in the light of Adlerian Individual Theory which comprises not only psychoanalytical but also cognitive approaches. Therefore, aspects of Adlerian Theory, namely inferiority complex, superiority complex, social interest and birth order were explained and all of these aspects were linked to the case. Then, the therapy application process was described in accordance with Adlerian Therapy Phases. In the final part, the possible causes of early termination of the therapy process were addressed and some suggestions were made to the therapists working on the field
