Design Improvement on Automobile Front Bumber Bracket

Auto parts are structural elements subjected to dynamic load. Deformation or change of position may occur over time within the tolerance for the overall structure. Design improvement is required for parts in order to prevent going out of the determined constraints. In this study, a design improvement was carried out with the aim of reducing deformation and mass reduction of an automobile front bumper bracket. At the end of the improvement process consisting of 4 stages in total, a 42.7% decrease in maximum stress value, 48% decrease in deformation value and 18.5% decrease in mass value was achieved compared to the first bracket model.
