Ozon Uygulaması ve Veteriner Hekimlikte Kullanımı

Ozon (O3), keskin kokuya sahip olan ve ilk kez 1848 yılında keşfedilmiş renksiz bir gazdır. Genel olarak, canlı organizmadaUV ışınların zararlı etkilerine karşı koruyucu etki yaratmaktadır. Ozon keşfedildikten sonra farklı hastalarda (hepatiksteatoz, kronik ülser, ortopedik hastalıklar, kanser, immün yetmezlik, enfekte yaralar, fistül, yanık, mastitis vb.)terapotik ajan olarak kullanılmıştır. O3, enflamatuar hücre faktörlerini baskılamakta, siklooksijenazı aktive etmekteve histiyositik oksidasyonlara karşı stres reaksiyonlarını azaltmakta, oksidasyon ve serbest radikallere karşı dirençgösteren histiyositik yeteneğini artırmaktadır. Antioksidan enzimlerin üretimini artırırken hücre homestazisini iserestore etmektedir. Kronik enflamasyondan kaynaklı serbest radikalleri temizleyici, ağrı kesici ve antiinflamatuarolarak etki göstermektedir. İmmün sistemde ise ozon modülatör olarak görev yapmaktadır. Farklı uygulama yöntemleriolan tıbbi ozon, intraperitoneal, intramüsküler, intraartiküler, subkutan şeklinde uygulanabilmekte ve lokal irrigasyonaneden olabilmektedir. Bu derlemede amaç ozonun genel özelliklerini, tıbbi ozonun uygulama şekillerini ve sağaltımaçısından veteriner hekimliğinde kullanımını değerlendirmektir.

Ozone Application and Usage in Veterinary Medicine

In general, it has a protective effect against the harmful effects of UV rays in the living organism. After the discoveryof ozone in different patients (hepatic steatosis, chronic ulcer, orthopedic diseases, cancer, immunodeficiency,infected wounds, fistula, burn, mastitis, etc.) was used as a therapeutic agent O3 suppresses inflammatory cell factors,activates cyclooxygenase and reduces stress reactions to histiocytic oxidations and increases histiocytic ability toresist oxidation and free radicals. It increases the production of antioxidant enzymes while restoring cell homestasis.It shows free radicals due to chronic inflammation, pain relief and antiinflammatory effect. In the immune system,it acts as an ozone modulator. Different application methods such as medical ozone, intraperitoneal, intramuscular,intraarticular, subcutaneous can be applied and can cause local irrigation. The purpose of this review is to evaluatethe general properties of ozone, the application of medical ozone and its use in veterinary medicine for treatment.
