DENTAL TRAVMANIN GELİŞEN DENTİSYONA ETKİLERİ

Dental yaralanmalar ve bu yaralanmaların sonuçları her yıl çok sayıda çocuğu etkilemektedir. Söz konusu yaralanmalar, bebeklik döneminden çocukluğa geçişte düşmeler veya çeşitli cisimlere çarpmalar sebebiyle oluşabilmektedir. Altı yaş altı çocuklarda, ağız bölgesi en sık yaralanan ikinci alan olmasına rağmen, bu yaralanmaların daimi dişe uzun dönem etkileri hakkında sınırlı bilgi bulunmaktadır. Gelişmekte olan daimi dişler, travmadan direk olarak etkilenebilmekte ve çeşitli seviyelerde hasarlar gösterebilmektedir. Bazı vakalarda, oluşan gelişimsel bozukluklar ancak dişin sürmesinden sonra tespit edilebilmektedir. Bu sebeple, dental yaralanmaya maruz kalan hastaların uzun dönem takibi önem arz etmektedir. Çocuklarda meydana gelen travmaların gelişen dentisyonu etkileyen sonuçları ile ilgili diş hekimlerinin rolü, söz konusu travmaların çocuklara etkisinin farkında olmak, aileye ve sağlık çalışanlarına rehberlik etmek, takip randevularına önem vermek, gerekli durumlarda teşhis ve tedavi için pedodontist ve ortodontistler ile konsültasyon yapmaktır.
