Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Doğum ve Jinekoloji Kliniği’ne 2001‐2009 yılları arasında getirilen hayvanlara toplu bakış
Bu çalışmada Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Doğum ve Jinekoloji Kliniği’ne 2001‐2009 yılları arasında getirilen hayvanların değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. Doğum ve Jinekoloji kliniğine getirilen toplam 1.844 hayvanın türlere göre dağılımlarının %66,49 sığır, %26,74 köpek, %2,17 kedi, %1,68 kısrak, %1,52 manda, %1,25 koyun ve %0,16 keçi olduğu belirlendi. Hayvanların sıklıkla kliniklere geliş sebeplerini gebelik muayenesi (%43,02), ovariohisterektomi (%22,19), genital organ muayenesi (%14,17), mastitis (%5,64), retensiyo sekundinarium (%2,74), inaktif ovaryum (%2,03), güç doğum (%1,57), meme başı bozuklukları (%1,52) ve metritis (%1,22) olgularının oluşturduğu gözlendi. Sonuç olarak; kliniğe getirilen hayvan sayısında, alt yapı ve ekipman ihtiyaçlarının karşılanmasına paralel bir artış olduğu ve bunun öğrenci eğitimine katkıda bulunduğu kanısına varılmıştır.
General survey of Animals admitted to the Afyon Kocatepe University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department between the years 2001‐2009
The aim of this study was to evaluate the animals admitted to the Afyon Kocatepe University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department between the years 2001‐2009. Distribution of the species of 1.844 animals were 66.49% cattle, 26.74% dog, 2.17% cat, 1.68% mare, 1.52% buffalo, 1.25% sheep and goat 0.16% in total. The most common reasons of animal admittances were pregnancy diagnosis (43.02%), ovariohysterectomie (22.19%), genital tract examination (14.17%), mastitis (5.64%), retentio secundinarium (2.74%), inactive ovaries (2.03%), dystocia (1.57%), teat defects (1.52%) and metritis (1.22%). It was concluded that the number of animals admitted to the clinic was increased in parallel with funding the infrastructural and equipment requirements and, thereby, contributing the student training.
