Refakatçilerin mümkün olduğunca kabul edilmemesi ve hastane içerisindeki herkesin maske kullanımının sağlanması gerekmektedir. COVID-19 bulaşının önlenmesi için temel önlemler maske, fiziksel mesafe ve el hijyendir. Bu rutin enfeksiyon kontrol önlemlerinin yanında hastaya yapılan işleme ve bulaş yoluna yönelik alınacak önlemler de COVID-19 bulaş riskini azaltacaktır.
