Kemikleşme Merkezleri Aracılığıyla Fetuslarda Yaş Tahmini Yapılması

Adli antropoloji, iskelet kalıntıları aracılığıyla yaş ve cinsiyet gibi ölçütleri değerlendirerek kimliklendirme yapılmasını sağlayan disiplinlerarası bir bilim dalıdır. Adli antropolojik çalışmalarda yaş tahmini yapılırken farklı yaş gruplarında farklı yöntemler kullanılmaktadır. Kemikleşme merkezleri, fetal hayattan yetişkinliğe dek yaş tahmininde kullanılabilen göstergeler içermektedir. Her bir kemiğin farklı bölgelerinde oluşan kemikleşme merkezleri, yaşamın farklı dönemlerinde ortaya çıkıp gelişmektedir. Bu nedenle de radyolojik, ultrasonografik ve morfolojik morfometrik araçlar yardımıyla bu merkezler incelenerek yaş tahmininde değerlendirilmektedir. Dolayısıyla kemikleşme merkezleri, adli antropolojik çalışmalar doğrultusunda adli bilimlerin kimliklendirme uygulamalarına katkıda bulunabilir

Forensic anthropology is an interdisciplinary science field that enables identification by evaluating criteria such as age and sex through skeletal remains.
