During the past few years , in pharmaceutical researchs much attention has been given to the controlled release of systemic drugs. By the use of this approach , controlling the therapeutic efficacy of drugs , a reduction in the total dose needed and also a reduction in the side effects can be provided. Microsponge systems that will be investigated are systems of porous , polymeric microspheres.
