ACTIVE COMPOUNDS OF ASPARAGUS L. SPECIES AND THEIR ACTIVITIES

In this review, the species of Asparagus L. have been evaluated regarding to the content of steroidal saponins and sapogenins as well as the other chemical compounds. The biological activities of these compounds and their usage for the treatment of various diseases in folk medicine were also discussed
