The Role of Sediment Phosphorus Inactivation of Lakes and Ponds Restoration
The input of excessive amounts of phosphorus in aquatic systems brings with it the problem of eutrophication. Sediments play a critical role as a phosphorus trap or phosphorus source in many aquatic systems. Lake sediment phosphorus inactivation method as a lake restoration technique is used to reduce the phosphorus content of phosphorus in the water column and to remove excessive phosphorus from sediment by precipitation on behalf of the reduction of internal phosphorus loading. In this study, the use of application methods and the probable consequences of phosphorus inactivation methods for controlling the content of phosphorus in aquatic systems with different characteristics are precised
