Çevre dostu hastaneler: hastaneden yeşil hastaneye

Maliyetleri kontrol edilebilme, tüketicilerin artan beklentilerini karşılama ve kaynakları verimli kullanma gerekliliği; sağlık sektöründe yeşil hastane kavramını gündeme getirmiştir. Yeşil hastane kavramı, kaynak kullanımına alternatifler üretmek, enerjinin, suyun ve malzemenin daha etkin ve verimli kullanılmasını teşvik etmek, her türlü israfın önüne geçilmesini sağlamak, çevreye duyarlı ve çevre dostu bina tasarımlarını gerçekleştirmek ve hizmet sunum sürecinde de çevre dostu olabilmektir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yeşil hastane kavramı hakkında bilgi vermek, sağlık sektöründe özellikle, sağlık hizmeti sunan kurumlarda yeşil hastane kavramının uygulanabilirliğini ortaya koymak, sağlık kurumlarına ve çevreye sağladığı katkıları incelemek ve Türkiye’de sağlık sektöründe yeşil kavramına dikkat çekmektir. Bu amaçla, yeşil kavramı ve yeşil sağlık hizmetleri tanımlanmış, yeşilin sağlık hizmetleri için önemi açıklanmış, Türkiye’de ve dünyada, sağlık sektöründe yeşil hastane stratejisinin ne derece ve nasıl uygulandığı farklı ülke örnekleri ile vurgulanmıştır. Bu çalışma ile gerek kamu gerek özel hastanelerde görev alan hastane yönetimlerine, sürdürülebilir sistemlerin geliştirilmesi ve iyileştirilmesi için çevre dostu yeşil stratejilerin uygulanması, toplumsal sosyal sorumluluk çerçevesinde sağlıkta çevre dostu yaklaşımlar benimsenmesi ve bu konuda çalışanların, hastaların, hasta yakınlarının ve toplumun bilinçlendirilmesi önerilebilir

Be able to control costs, meet the growing expectations of consumers and the necessity of efficient use of resources make green hospital a current issue in health sector. The mean of green hospital concept is to produce alternatives to the use of resources, to encourage to more effective and efficient usage of energy, water and material currently used, to ensure the prevention of any kind of wastage, to perform environmentally sensible and eco-friendly building design and be environmentally friendly in the process of service provision also. The aim of this study is, to give information about the concept of green hospital, to demonstrate the applicability of the concept of green hospitals in the health sector, especially health care institutions, to examine the contribution of this concept to health institutions and the environment and to point out to the concept of green in the health sector in Turkey. For this purpose, in this study, the concept of green and green health care is defined, the importance of green for health care services is explained and what extent and how it was implemented the green hospital strategy in health sector is emphasized with the different examples from Turkey and the world. The implementation of environmentally friendly green strategies, the adoption of environmentally friendly approaches to health within the framework of social responsibility and in this respect extended employees, patient and community awareness can be suggested to both public and private hospital managers for developing and improving the sustainable systems
