Sosyal adalet, toplumdaki tüm bireyler için adalet olmalıdır. Bir toplumda bu hedefe ulaşılmadığı sürece bazıları gelişmenin nimetlerinden yararlanırken, bazıları bu nimetlerin sadece maliyetini ödemek durumunda kalarak, adaletsiz koşullarda yaşamlarını sürdüreceklerdir. Yaşanan sosyal adaletsizlikler, tüm yaşam dönemlerine yayılma potansiyeli taşıdığı için sosyal olarak savunmasız gruplar ortaya çıkmaktadır. Dünya Bankası’nın savunmasız gruplar arasında tanımladığı 12-24 yaş grubundaki gençlerin bazıları özellikle iş, eğitim ve sağlığa yönelik fırsat ve kaynaklara yeterli bir şekilde erişememekte ve sahip oldukları yetenekleri kullanamayarak yaşamlarına yön veren fırsat ve şanstan mahrum bir yaşam sürdürmek durumunda kalabilmektedirler. Bu çalışmanın amacı adaletsizlik temelinde ortaya çıkan sosyal savunmasızlığı açıklamak ve 12-24 yaş grubunda bulunan gençlerin yaşam dönemindeki sosyal savunmasızlıklardan hareketle gençliğe yönelik sosyal adaletin sağlanmasına ilişkin çözüm önerileri ortaya koymaktır

Social justice must be for all individuals in the society. As longs as this target remains unreached in a society, some shall benefit from the benedictions of the progress while some shall live on in an injustice environment just paying the costs of these benedictions. Because the social injustices carry the potential of spreading all periods on a life cycle, socially vulnerable groups do appear. Some of the young people at an age group between 12 and 24 that the World Bank defined among the vulnerable groups cannot sufficiently access to the opportunities and resources directed especially towards business, education and health and not being able to use the skills they have they might remain in a position to live on devoid of opportunity and chance that dominate their lives. The purpose of this study is to explain the social vulnerability that appear on the basis of injustice and to put forward solution suggestions with regard to securing social justice towards the young people starting from the view of social vulnerability in the life cycle of the young people at an age group between 12 and 24
