A forgotten concept in infertility: Male sexuality

The process of infertility leads to the change of the concept of sexuality in couples, which brings the view of sexuality more as a child-bearing task. It is also a concept that affects the life of couples in the psycho-sociosexual contexts from the past to nowadays and needs multidisciplinary approach. Due to disproportionate studies on women and womencentered treatment processes, men have been excluded from the process of infertility. In the studies of sexuality in infertility, men especially experienced premature ejaculation (PE) and erectile dysfunction (ED) problems. In the counseling process, the problems related to sexuality are more concealed and incorrect cognitive schemas may arise due to the fact that no special service is given to men.
