Sıklığı gözardı edilen myroides enfeksiyonu: olgu sunumu

Myroides türleri insanlarda nadiren enfeksiyon yapan gram negatif bir bakteridir. İnsan mikrobiyotasının bir parçası olmasa da Myroides türleri çevrede yaygın olarak bulunur. Myroides enfeksiyonlarının tipik olarak kontamine su ile temas sonrası geliştiği bildirilmiştir. Sıklıkla bağışıklığı baskılanmış hastalarda enfeksiyona neden olmaktadır. Bu olguda, çoklu ilaca dirençli Myroides odoratimimus’un neden olduğu bir üriner sistem enfeksiyonu sunuyoruz.

Myroides infection with underestimated frequency: a case report

Myroides species are gram-negative bacteria that rarely infects humans. However Myroides species are not part of the human microbiota and they are commonly found in the environmental sources. It has been reported that Myroides infection typically develops after contact with contaminated water. It often causes infection in immuno-compromised patients. In our case, we present a urinary tract infection caused by multidrug-resistant Myroides odoratimimus.
