Türk birliği-Turan kavramı kavram olarak yeni olmasına rağmen XIX yüzyılın sonları ve XX yüzyılın başlarında tarih yazımında fikir olarak varlığını sürdürmüştür. Modern zamanlarda bu kavramın altında yatan fikirlerin incelenmesi önemli olduğu için, makale onun kökeni ve gelişiminin tarihine özel önem vermektedir. Dünya düzeninin yeniden şekillenmesinin arifesinde, Türk birliği kavramının siyasi-ideolojik ve ekonomik-kültürel bir temelde hayata geçirilmesi gereğine dikkat çekildi.

The concept of Turkic unity-Turan, although a new concept, but as an idea, it existed in historiography as early as the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. The article pays special attention to the history of its origin and development, since the study of the ideas underlying this concept is still relevant today. On the eve of a change in the world order, the need to implement the concept of Turkic unity on a political, ideological, economic and cultural basis is noted.
